As we age, our faces lose collagen and elastin, which unfortunately contributes to sagging facial features. The purpose of Injectables is to offset those sags as well as reduce wrinkles, creases, lines, folds, and submental fullness (double-chin).
After Injectables are applied, the natural, curved facial features become restored, giving recipients a more rested and energetic look to go along with a more vibrant appearance.
Each of the injectables below has a unique attribute that works in its own way to rejuvenate specific face and neck areas. In general, dermal fillers either replace lost volume in the face or help our bodies regenerate collagen on their own.
Most fillers, such as Restylane and Sculptra, are comprised of natural substances that are produced by our bodies. And Kybella actually melts fat in the submental chin area. When applied, dermal fillers can be used to lift or smooth any number of facial features.
Injectables are used to relax wrinkles and folds, reshape facial features, and improve signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework, and/or volume.
Dermal fillers work by boosting the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid. What generally results is a revitalized look to a recipient’s natural beauty, and the results can be instant. Dermal fillers are gels that contain non-animal hyaluronic acid that create a more youthful appearance without any side effects or pain. While not permanent, they are long-lasting and are perfect for those who want instant gratification while still maintaining their youthfulness!
Each patient’s recovery time varies according to the type of filler used. In most cases, recipients are able to resume their normal everyday activities fairly quickly. Still, we recommend that our clients avoid intense physical activity until their bodies have some time to recover from any swelling or bruising.
The good news is that most dermal filler injections work very quickly. Also, most recipients don’t have to wait long before seeing the full effects of injections. With that said, some treatments take a little time to integrate into the body’s tissues, so it’s normal for their impact to not be fully visible for a few weeks after treatment has been completed.
Dermal filler injections are a minimally painful and quick way to get back the youthful appearance you may have been missing! After a consultation with your injector, you’ll most likely be able to decide on the appropriate course of action to achieve optimum results. With that said, don’t be alarmed if you experience some minor discomfort, redness, or bruising after your procedure. In general, reactions occur immediately after procedures take place and may include pain or swelling in the areas where injections occur up to 12 hours post-injection.
